Job summary

Dallas Independent School District is seeking an Inventory Technician to manage district inventory software, recover lost or damaged devices, and coordinate with police and campus staff. You will maintain accurate records for withdrawn students and ensure decommissioned devices are properly documented.

The role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in MS Office and Google Sheets, and familiarity with Windows OS.

Qualifications

• Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S. Equivalency).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Utilize district inventory software to maintain inventory control and recover devices reported lost, stolen, or damaged.
• Collaborate with district police to recover stolen devices.
• Communicate with parents/guardians to retrieve non-returned devices from withdrawn students.
• Maintain database of withdrawn students from PowerSchool notifications.
• Coordinate with Asset Management for accurate asset data of withdrawn students.
• Document and process decommissioned devices timely.
• Coordinate with IT Security to lock lost/stolen devices promptly.
• Assist Human Capital Management to retrieve data of exiting staff.
• Collaborate with campus staff as needed.
• Provide excellent communication and customer service to parents, students and employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

• Utilize district inventory software to maintain accurate inventory control and recover technology devices that has been reported lost, stolen, or damaged.
• Work with district police department to recover reported stolen devices.
• Communicate with parents/guardians for proper retrieval of non-returned devices from withdrawn students.
• Maintain accurate database of withdrawn students received from PowerSchool notifications.
• Work with Asset Management Department for accurate asset data for all withdrawn students.
• Ensure all decommissioned devices are documented and processed in a timely manner.
• Work with Information Technology Security team to ensure all lost or stolen devices are locked in a timely manner.
• Work with Human Capital Management Department to retrieve data of exiting staff.
• Collaborate with Dallas ISD Campus Staff as needed.
• Provide excellent communication and customer service to parents, students and employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and/ or manager.
