Job summary

Oklahoma Military Department is seeking an Inventory Officer to modernize inventory control and asset management statewide. This role focuses on implementing and maintaining the CORE/PeopleSoft Inventory Control modules and related agency procedures.

The position requires four years of supply or warehousing experience and involves coordinating with USPFO, state asset management, and procurement processes. It offers a full-time schedule with comprehensive state benefits.

Qualifications

  • Four years experience in supply or warehousing work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of regulations related to state or federal procurement and inventory control.
  • Warehouse principles, techniques and inventory methods; and basic use of warehousing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, implements and performs materiel management activities for the Oklahoma Military Department; assists in the procurement of supplies and equipment or other material.
  • Prepares and implements the perpetual inventory of tangible assets statewide. Reconciles and records the property listing for submission to the USPFO and the Division of Capitol Assets Management, State Inventory Officer.
  • Maintains property records, orders and other documents used in the procurement process; supervises the receipt of supplies and equipment; verifies shipping documents against invoices and other data.
  • Confers with department heads, vendors and outside agencies concerning purchases, deliveries and acceptability of supplies.
  • Assists with all materiel management activities for the Oklahoma Military Department, including maintaining perpetual inventories, insuring proper storage of warehoused items, and meeting the needs of the agency for various supplies
  • Assists the Inventory Control Officer in the certifying and submitting Annual Inventory reports required by Federal and other State agencies’.
