Job summary

Mid-States Concrete Industries is hiring an Inventory & Receiving Specialist to accurately receive and document materials for our manufacturing operations. You will inspect shipments, update records, and ensure proper storage while coordinating with Purchasing and Maintenance teams.

The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to operate forklift and other equipment in a fast-paced plant setting. Competitive starting wage and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials, parts, and equipment and verify against orders and invoices.
• Inspect items for damage or discrepancies and communicate issues promptly.
• Record receipts accurately in inventory system and label materials.
• Maintain organized receiving areas and safe storage.
• Move materials using forklift or other equipment as needed.
• Maintain and adjust inventory records and locations.
• Support cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Assist with vendor discrepancies and returns as needed.

If you're ready to take on the challenge, Mid-States Concrete Industries is hiring top talent to join our growing concrete production team!About the Role:The Inventory & Receiving Specialist is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, documenting, organizing, and maintaining inventory of materials, supplies, parts, and equipment used in Mid-States Concrete Industries' manufacturing operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring materials are available when needed, inventory records are accurate, and incoming shipments are properly processed.The Inventory & Receiving Specialist works closely with Purchasing, Maintenance, Production, Accounting, and vendors to resolve receiving discrepancies, maintain appropriate inventory levels, and support efficient plant operations.Key Responsibilities:ReceivingReceive incoming materials, parts, supplies, equipment, and other deliveries.Verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices for quantity, description, condition, and accuracy.Inspect incoming materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and communicate issues to the appropriate department.Accurately record receipts in the Company's inventory and/or purchasing system.Label and properly identify received materials and ensure they are stored in the appropriate location.Maintain organized receiving areas and ensure materials do not create safety or housekeeping hazards.Communicate delivery delays, shortages, damaged goods, and other receiving issues to Purchasing and management.Assist with returns, credits, warranty claims, and vendor discrepancies as needed.Move received materials to the appropriate department, storage area, or job location.
