Job summary

Jobtailor in California is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to manage cycle counting, data integrity, and material movements for manufacturing operations. You will enter data into Microsoft Dynamics 365, monitor stock levels, and ensure accurate inventory records across stockrooms and production cells.

The role requires 3–5 years in inventory control within a manufacturing setting, forklift certification, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of inventory control, stockroom, warehouse, or materials management experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) for inventory management, transactions, work orders, and materials tracking.
  • Working knowledge of cycle counting methodologies, inventory control practices, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and maintain applicable certifications as required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Windows operating systems, email, and internet-based applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze inventory discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inventory identification, verification, and cycle counting.
  • Monitor, reconcile, and process inventory transactions to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Enter and maintain inventory data in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Reconcile inventory daily or as required.
  • Monitor material issues and inventory movement from stockroom locations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient stockroom and inventory storage area.
  • Pull, stage, and kit materials and components for manufacturing work orders.
  • Audit and reconcile component shortages and overages for manufacturing jobs.
  • Process work orders, pick lists, and inventory transactions.
  • Adjust pick lists and inventory allocations to support production.
  • Assist with work order completion and job closure.
  • Monitor inventory consumption at point-of-use locations and manufacturing cells.
  • Replenish production inventory using Kanban or other replenishment systems.
  • Return excess materials and process related transactions.
  • Gather and report physical inventory count data.
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing efforts related to inventory control and material flow.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and unobstructed work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
