Job summary

Variety Wholesalers in Henderson, North Carolina is seeking an Inventory Analyst to investigate variances and root causes of inventory loss across stores and distribution centers. You will analyze shrink and variances, collaborate with store leadership and DC operations to reconcile activity, and support cycle counts and annual inventories.

The role reports to the Senior Manager, Inventory Control and requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with loss

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; preference given to accounting and finance majors.
• Preference for experience in retail, manufacturing or logistics.
• Strong computer skills with advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Investigate variances, shortages, and overages between DC, stores, and vendors.
• Analyze physical inventory results and perform root cause analysis on shrinkage.
• Review shrink data weekly/monthly to identify billing issues and trends.
• Collaborate with store leadership and DC operations to reconcile inventory activity.
• Support cycle counts and annual physical inventories at stores and DCs.
• Compile and report inventory activity data to stakeholders.
• Build relationships with staff, cross-functional teams, and vendors.
• Maintain procedures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Contribute to policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Assist with special projects; travel as needed.
