Variety Wholesalers, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Analyst at its Henderson, NC location. This role focuses on researching root causes of inventory loss across stores and distribution centers, coordinating with loss prevention, store operations, supply chain, IT, and other teams.

The candidate will investigate variances, analyze shrink data, and support cycle counts and inventories while fostering cross-functional collaboration to enhance internal controls and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; preference for accounting/finance majors.
• Retail, manufacturing or logistics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate inventory variances, shortages, and overages between DC, stores and vendors.
• Analyze store physical inventory results and perform root-cause analysis on shrink and overage stores.
• Analyze shrink data weekly and monthly to identify billing issues and trends; communicate findings to leadership.
• Collaborate with store leadership and DC operations to review inbound/outbound activity and reconcile discrepancies.
• Support cycle counts and annual physical inventories at stores and DCs.
• Compile, analyze and report inventory activity data to various users in the company.
• Build and maintain relationships with staff, cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings; contribute to internal controls.
