Job summary

BorgWarner is hiring an Inventory Analyst for the Hendersonville, NC facility. The role focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy, improving processes, and supporting material flow across production and warehouse teams.

The ideal candidate has strong data analysis skills, experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred), and the ability to partner across functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, on-site position offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and 5+ years of experience in inventory control, materials, warehousing, logistics, or supply chain analysis
• Or a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in the same fields
• Preferred: Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Finance or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Experience working with ERP systems and inventory transactions (SAP is preferred)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly and effectively
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a manufacturing or operations environment
• Experience with cycle counting, physical inventory, and reconciliation processes preferred
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methods, lean principles, or process standardization is a plus

Responsibilities

• Analyze inventory transactions, adjustments, and trends to identify discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle count analysis, reconciliation activities, and root cause investigation
• Support physical inventory planning, execution, validation, and follow-up resolution of count variances
• Review inventory movement to ensure system transactions accurately reflect physical material flow
• Partner with warehouse, shipping, receiving, planning, purchasing, and production teams to resolve inventory-related issues
• Investigate negative inventory, location mismatches, overdue transactions, and material variances
• Prepare and maintain reports, metrics, and dashboards related to inventory accuracy, aging, shortages, excess, and obsolete stock
• Identify and recommend process improvements to strengthen inventory control and improve transactional discipline
• Assist in developing and maintaining standardized inventory procedures and work instructions
• Support internal audits and provide inventory analysis to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders as needed
• Lead Cycle Counters by issuing counts and helping to reconcile
