Job summary

BorgWarner is building a brand-new state-of-the-art facility in Hendersonville, NC to produce power systems for data centers. The Material Planner will coordinate with production planning and customer service to optimize inventory and releases, develop the supply plan, and reduce stockouts and excess inventory.

You will support the production schedule based on forecasted demand and raw material needs. We seek candidates with an Associate degree or equivalent, manufacturing experience, and

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Familiar with planning and scheduling concepts and procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain long-term supply schedule aligned with forecasted demand.
• Resolve material shortages and schedule interruptions.
• Request recovery plans with suppliers and track progress.
• Use root cause analysis to improve on-time deliveries.
• Advise on proper shipping methods to meet deadlines.
• Utilize SAP to manage supplier schedules and monitor deliveries.
• Collaborate with purchasing, supplier quality, and production scheduling.
• Track raw material inventory and optimize material usage.
• Create reports to monitor supply base health and KPIs.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies.
