Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply is seeking an Inventory Representative to ensure accurate counts, assist in cycle counting, and support warehouse operations. You will work with receiving, picking, and counter staff to ensure products are correctly counted, located, and prepared for same-day shipping.

Applicants should have 1–3 years in inventory control, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with warehouse systems.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
1–3 years of inventory control, cycle counting, or warehouse operations preferred.
Proficiency with warehouse management systems; Eclipse experience a plus.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Excellent attention to detail; accuracy in count and documentation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet in a warehouse.

Responsibilities

Execute cycle counts accurately and on time; investigate discrepancies and identify root causes.
Verify inbound receipts against purchase orders and stage for put-away to correct bin locations.
Maintain system and documentation integrity; ensure adjustments are documented before end of shift.
Operate warehouse equipment safely (forklifts, pallet jacks, scanner guns).
Coordinate with receiving, picking, and counter staff to ensure accurate fulfillment.
Identify recurring inventory problems and escalate for permanent improvements.
