Job summary

Gelmart Industries is seeking an experienced Inventory Lead to manage inventory quantities, costs, and financial records across multiple brands. You will supervise one inventory support member and coordinate with Accounting, AP, Logistics, Sourcing, and warehouse partners to connect physical inventory to financial records.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of inventory accounting, costing, or related accounting operations experience.
• Experience with FIFO valuation and landed costs.
• Ability to connect item-level and warehouse activity to financial records.
• Experience training or supervising a support team member.
• Experience with imported inventory, customs documentation, or third-party warehouses is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile inventory quantities and movements by item and location across systems and records.
• Prepare monthly FIFO on-hand valuation and in-transit schedules.
• Reconcile product costs, freight, duties, and other landed costs to receipts and inventory.
• Tie inventory valuations to the general ledger and prepare accruals and reclassifications.
• Review inventory aging, sales velocity, and recoverability; work on sell-through or disposition plans.
• Maintain audit-ready support for quantities, valuation, landed costs, and reserves.
