Job summary

Centric Brands is seeking a Director of Inventory Accounting to lead our inventory accounting function across multiple locations. You will drive the monthly close, oversee valuations, reserves, and cost accounting, and mentor a team of three direct reports.

The role requires deep US GAAP knowledge, SAP FICO experience, and a track record of strengthening controls and improving working capital. This is a senior leadership position within the Finance organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• MBA or CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including inventory accounting.
• 5+ years inventory, cost, or manufacturing accounting experience.
• Manufacturing experience required; multi-entity exposure a plus.
• Strong SAP experience; SAP FICO; SAP BPC is a plus.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, inventory valuation, reserves, and costing.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company's inventory accounting function across all locations.
• Oversee monthly inventory close, journal entries, KPI reporting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Oversee inventory valuation, reserves, production overhead capitalization, and purchase price variances.
• Maintain SOX controls, internal controls, and governance over inventory processes.
• Partner with FP&A, Production, Operations, and Inventory Control to ensure accurate cost recording.
• Drive process improvements and implement policies aligning with US GAAP and Company policies.
• Lead and develop a team of three direct reports and drive performance.
