Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking an Inventory Accountant I for the Loveland, Colorado area to analyze gross margin and inventory reports and support cost accounting processes. This onsite role collaborates with branch and division personnel and reports to the Sr.

Manager of Operations Accounting. Responsibilities include completing monthly SOX reports, performing adjustments and journal entries, assisting with physical counts, consignment inventory, and ensuring internal controls around inventory are

Qualifications

• Education: BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 0-3 years of practical experience.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems; strong Excel and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze gross margin and inventory reports for one region.
• Collaborate with Branch Managers to ensure accurate margins and inventory reporting.
• Assist Regional Finance Managers in researching inventory discrepancies.
• Complete monthly SOX reports to ensure internal controls over inventory.
• Perform validity checks on inventory adjustments submitted by branches.
• Assist with consignment inventory and yearly physical counts.
• Record journal entries, perform reconciliations and transactional reviews.
