Job summary

RaceTrac, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Staff Accountant to handle general accounting duties, including month-end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations. You will review cash and product shrink and reconcile distribution center activity, ensuring accuracy across systems.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting, 0–3 years of experience, solid US GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills. Experience with Workday or PDI is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required.
• 0–3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• Advanced experience with MS Excel; proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Completes daily general accounting functions including research, report/spreadsheet preparation, and analysis.
• Reconciles activity to ensure that all systems contain accurate and up-to-date information.
• Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries and reports.
• Ensures all monthly and weekly deadlines are met in accordance with the department calendar.
• Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal departments.
• Carries out ad hoc reports/analysis as needed.

About the position The Inventory Staff Accountant performs general accounting duties; including, analyzing, researching, and preparing financial information and reports to meet specific daily and monthly deadlines. This individual is responsible for reviewing cash and product shrink and reconciling activity related to bank accounts and distribution center activity.

Requirements

• 0-3 years accounting experience
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of US GAAP
• Advanced experience using MS Office Suite, particularly Excel Nice-to-haves
• Workday software experience preferred
• PDI software experience preferred
