Leslie’s is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the corporate finance team in Phoenix. The role focuses on journal entries, reconciliations, inventory accounting, cost of sales, and gross margin analysis, supporting stores, distribution centers, e-commerce, and inventory programs.

You will partner with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain, contribute to month-end closes, audits, and internal controls, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced retail environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 1-3 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting, public company accounting, or a related environment.
• Experience with inventory accounting and reporting in a retail environment strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools; familiarity with JDA, Workday Adaptive Planning, and FloQast is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyses with supporting documentation and internal control evidence.
• Participate in month-end close activities and ensure timely completion.
• Prepare schedules and analyses for inventory valuation and financial reporting requirements.
• Perform detailed account variance analyses to explain fluctuations and ensure accuracy.
• Investigate inventory-related issues and work with field operations to address root causes.
• Support inventory accounting for retail, distribution, and e‑commerce operations.
• Maintain compliance with policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Assist in developing and enhancing internal controls and procedures.
• Provide documentation and analyses for internal and external audits.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
