Job summary

Leslie's is seeking a Staff Accountant in Phoenix, AZ with hybrid work options. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support month-end close across stores, distribution centers, and e-commerce.

A strong focus on inventory and cost of sales, with collaboration across Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain, is essential. The role requires 1–3 years of accounting experience, knowledge of US GAAP, and solid Excel/ERP skills to drive accurate financial reporting and process

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
1–3 years of progressive accounting experience in a public accounting, public company, or related environment.
Experience with inventory accounting and reporting in a retail environment preferred; supply chain knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses with documentation and controls for inventory, sales, COGS, and reserves.
Participate in month-end and period-end close activities to ensure timely reporting.
Support inventory valuation, reporting, and adverse variance investigations.
Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to support audits and close processes.
Identify process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
