Job summary

Tate Inc. is seeking an Inventory Accountant to manage inventory valuation, cost accounting, and financial reporting. The role partners with operations, supply chain, and finance to ensure accurate reporting and inventory integrity.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in inventory or cost accounting within manufacturing, and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics). This full-time position is based in Maryland/Baltimore and offers comprehensive wellness and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years inventory accounting, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics) and Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory accounting and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate inventory records (raw materials, WIP, finished goods).
• Perform monthly inventory reconciliations aligning physical counts with records.
• Analyze variances and support corrective actions.
• Prepare journal entries for inventory, COGS, and adjustments.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and finance for reporting.
