Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Invasive CV Technologist to support cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab. You will assist physicians during angiography, angioplasty, stent placements, and Pacemaker insertions while maintaining sterile technique and patient safety.

You will also manage patient data, equipment, and PACS systems, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols in a 40-hour weekly schedule at St James Hospital in Montana.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent required; related experience may substitute.
• BLS required on hire; ACLS required within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals and procedures; strong written communication.

Responsibilities

• Locates historical information on patient; updates and maintains patient files after procedures and properly labels charts.
• Performs regular cleaning of equipment, transducers, pressure injectors, and compressors.
• Follows radiation safety guidelines and procedures.
• Schedules procedures appropriate for the lab; reviews and records pertinent patient history and clinical data.
• Assists physician with catheter insertions and injections during angiography and procedures; uses vascular/anatomy knowledge to position tables.
• Records data accurately; calculates ejection fractions and cardiac outputs; maintains cath lab equipment and PACS.
