Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an Invasive CV Technologist to support the clinical team in the cath lab at St. James Hospital in Butte, MT. You will assist physicians with catheter insertions, angiography, and interventional procedures, and maintain accurate procedure data.

This full-time role (40 hours weekly) includes typically 10-hour shifts with on-call, equipment maintenance, radiation safety, and collaboration with the cardiovascular team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with catheter insertions and injections during diagnostic angiography and heart catheterization, as well as angioplasties and stent procedures.
• Maintain and label patient charts, update files after procedures, and ensure accurate data recording.
• Inspects all catheters and supplies for expiration dates, orders and stocks supplies as needed.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and ensure lab procedures meet regulatory standards.
• Schedule procedures and review patient history and data for lab readiness.
• Maintain cath lab network computers and PACS systems and manage procedure data.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, hemodynamic data, and ability to recognize dysrhythmias.
