Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Invasive CV Technologist at St James Hospital in Butte, MT, to assist physicians in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, and to record anatomy and physiology data for physician interpretation.

This full-time role requires 40 hours weekly, typically 10-hour shifts with call, and includes responsibilities such as equipment maintenance, chart labeling, and adherence to safety protocols in the cath lab.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent with related experience.
• BLS required upon hire.
• ACLS required within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents; write reports and procedures.
• Ability to calculate figures and volumes; apply basic algebra/geometry.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret varied instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with catheter insertions and injections during diagnostic angiography, heart cath, angioplasties, stent procedures, and pacemaker insertions.
• Maintain and clean equipment, transducers, pressure injectors, and compressors.
• Label and manage patient charts; track iodine allergies and historical data.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and procedures.
• Schedule procedures, review patient history, and support clinical data collection.
• Record procedure data accurately, calculate ejection fractions and cardiac outputs.
