Job summary

WG Bill Hefner VA Medical Center in Kernersville, NC seeks an experienced Physician-Invasive Cardiology Program Manager. The role reports to the Chief of Cardiology, with responsibilities in program growth, quality outcomes, and staff guidance across Medicine Service.

Qualified applicants should hold a medical degree with unrestricted licensure in the U.S. and board eligibility/certification in interventional cardiology, with leadership and teaching duties as part of the position.

Qualifications

• Must have doctor of medicine or equivalent degree.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
• Residency training in an approved core specialty leading to board eligibility/certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level cardiovascular care and lead cardiac catheterization lab operations.
• Serve as Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and act as chief of the section when needed.
• Participate in education and training of residents, fellows and students and in institutional CQI efforts.
