UPMC West Shore is seeking an Invasive Cardiac Technologist to support the Cardiovascular Department. This full-time role offers flexible scheduling: a 4-day week of 10-hour shifts or a 5-day week of 8-hour shifts, with on-call details discussed at interview.

A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible new hires with a 2-year commitment. Responsibilities include proper patient identification, history review, and preparing the patient for procedures while maintaining sterile technique and

Formación

• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology (RT-R) or RCIS; Paramedic certification with PA credentialing acceptable.
• CPR certification is required; ACLS certification is desired and must be obtained within orientation.
• Board certification in radiology or cardiovascular specialty within 1 year of placement.

Responsabilidades

• Identifies patients with two identifiers and applies universal protocol during procedures.
• Reviews patient history and orders, documents data in electronic records with required detail.
• Explains procedures clearly to patients and supports patient comfort and cooperation.
• Maintains aseptic technique and radiation safety, including lead shielding and exposure documentation.
• Delivers stand-by call coverage as scheduled and assists physicians in procedures.

ARRT RT-R or RCIS

Paramedic license in PA

Educación

ARRT Radiologic Technologist or RCIS

Paramedic certification

B.S. in health care related field (optional)
