H&R Block is seeking a communications professional at the intersection of strategy and channel operations to lead field support communications and the platforms, tools, and infrastructure that enable two-way engagement across the organization.

The role ensures messages reach the right audiences while optimizing digital channels and engagement tools, balancing strategic and operational work and serving as the in-house expert on intranet management and audience targeting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field or experience.
• 5 years minimum related work experience.
• Strong background in technical and operational writing.
• High level of critical thinking and problem-solving; ability to connect the dots.
• Experience managing intake, workflow, and approval processes for communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communications for field audiences, translating updates into clear, timely messaging aligned to business priorities.
• Partner with leaders to manage communications intake, planning, content development, audience targeting, distribution, and follow-through.
• Coordinate recurring communications, leadership messaging, and special projects while managing communications calendars and sequencing to reduce overlap.
• Serve as liaison for intranet platform operations, partnering with IT to support enhancements and optimize user experience.
• Own governance and administration of intranet engagement tools, including feedback channels and moderation of news comments.
• Partner with events teams to support company-wide broadcasts and manage communications during outages or continuity events.
• Lead audience segmentation strategy and execution to ensure messages reach the right audiences.
• Monitor and analyze channel performance, site traffic, and engagement to improve communication effectiveness.
• Manage content governance, records retention, and archiving while coordinating stakeholder notifications.
• Support and enable a network of 250+ intranet content contributors with training and guidance.
