Job summary

University of San Diego seeks an Intramurals Supervisor to lead the intramural sports program and coordinate campus recreation operations. You will supervise staff, manage program calendars, and ensure adherence to student development outcomes in partnership with campus leadership.

The role emphasizes inclusive programming, risk management, and collaboration with Sports Club Supervisors. Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Admin or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of two years of professional experience in recreation, intramural sports, or a related area.
• Master’s degree may substitute for up to one year of required experience.
• Preferred: Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Preferred: experience supervising staff.
• Preferred: experience with youth sport and/or camp programs.
• Preferred: experience applying student development theory in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and supervise the annual Intramural Sports program.
• Plan and facilitate Intramural staff meetings.
• Enforce policies using a restorative justice framework.
• Oversee Intramural and campus recreation operations and staffing.
• Oversee payroll for Intramural student staff.
• Develop and supervise summer programming with partner staff.
• Lead staff development and student employee training.
