Overview

The Intramural Sports Department at Auburn University at Montgomery is accepting applications for aIntramural and Club Sports Coordinator.

Auburn University at Montgomery reserves the right once interviewing has begun to stop accepting applications.

Responsibilities

• Involvement in appropriate professional organizations.
• Promote, organize, advertise, and recruit students to participate in theUniversities intramural and club sports programs and other related studentactivities.
• Provide overall supervision of intramural events for students, staff, and faculty.
• Coordinate the usage of the Wellness Center for intramural sports programs.
• Inspect and maintain all fitness and intramural equipment.
• Serve on committees both on and off campus to promote the interests of theUniversities intramural program.
• Work with various student organizations on campus.
• Support Enrollment Management and Student Affairs events such as Orientation,Homecoming, etc.
• Hours include nights and weekends.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of working experience in intramurals programs or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.

• Knowledge of Student development theories pertaining to wellness and recreation
• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and best practices regarding intramuralsports risk management.
• Knowledge of budgeting principles and practices.
