Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide technical assistance for diagnostic and interventional procedures in a Cleveland, OH setting. You will be cross trained in cardiac cath, vascular, and interventional radiology, acquiring and processing high-quality images while educating patients about procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities include injector setup, EKG lead application, pulse oximetry monitoring, and safe handling of wires, catheters, balloons, and related devices,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist with ARRT in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Knowledge of radiologic physics and vascular equipment.
• Knowledge of vascular anatomy and sterile technique.

Job description

• Provide technical assistance for both diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Cross trained in cardiac cath, vascular, and interventional radiology
• Acquire and process high-quality images to ensure accuracy and clarity
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams
• Set-up or operate injectors to administer contrast agents for procedures
• Apply EKG leads and pulse oximetry monitoring
• Use and prepare wires, catheters, balloons and other devices
• Operate ancillary equipment adherent to specific procedures
• Teach and instruct students and new hires

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists [R.T.(R) (ARRT)] in good standing
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Knowledge of radiologic physics and computerized vascular equipment to safely inject and image human vascular anatomy
• Knowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology sufficient to apply to interventional and diagnostic exams
• Knowledge of sterile technique with ability to create and maintain sterile environment
