Interventional Radiology Technologist responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional procedures including angiography, venography, myelography, nephro-ureteral, and gastrointestinal studies, as well as modality-assisted drainage and biopsies.
Position patients, select appropriate protocols, utilize imaging equipment, and ensure adherence to established procedures for diverse age groups. Complete post-processing, maintain accurate records, and provide patient education and care in accordance with standards. Follow radiation safety policies and implement dose reduction techniques.
Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program or accredited hospital-based training. Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) and BLS certified. Prior experience is not required. Advanced certifications in Vascular-Interventional or Cardiac Interventional Radiography are preferred.
Demonstrate proficiency in interventional procedures, patient positioning, equipment use, and age-specific patient care. Maintain competencies and adhere to safety and protocol standards to deliver high-quality radiological services.
