Job summary

CH01 CHE Fresenius Medical Care (Schweiz) AG is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support interventional procedures. You will prepare and stock the procedure room, assist with patient positioning, and perform scrub and circulating duties under physician supervision.

Qualifications

• 1 - 2 years' related experience.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of interventional equipment (including C-Arm and Ultrasound equipment), procedures and materials/supplies needed for each procedure.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques.
• Experience with special procedures utilizing a C-Arm preferred.
• Knowledge of universal precautions and personal protective devices to be utilized when operating radiology systems.
• Successfully complete BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists with maintenance and setup of the procedure room in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Stocks procedure room and trays with supplies and equipment prior to procedure.
• Cleans the procedure room and equipment post procedure.
• Prepares patients for procedures including positioning, shaving, and prepping.
• Performs circulating duties and scrub assistant tasks during interventions.
• Assists with preparing, organizing, and efficiently utilizing supplies to prevent wastage.
• Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA and USV policies.
• Prints images and sends to physicians when required.
• Participates in CQI activities and regulatory surveys.
