Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Durham, NC seeks an experienced Surgical Technician to support interventional procedures. You will prepare the procedure room, stock supplies, and assist the physician as a scrub and circulating team member under sterile technique.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, medication administration within scope, patient transfers, instrument sterilization, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' related experience.
• Working knowledge of interventional equipment (including C-Arm and Ultrasound equipment).
• Knowledge of sterile techniques.
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of universal precautions and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and setup of the procedure room in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Stock procedure room and trays with supplies and interventional equipment.
• Clean the procedure room and equipment post procedure.
• Prepare the patient for surgery by positioning and prepping as needed.
• Assist physicians during interventional procedures under sterile technique.
• Prepare and administer medications within scope and state regulations.
• Transfer and position patients and transport to/from the procedure room.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with instrument sterilization and packaging, inventory, and restocking.
