Job summary

The Valley Hospital-Paramus is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist during surgeries, maintain sterile equipment, and manage instrument trays and supplies. The role requires teamwork with surgeons and nurses to ensure safety and efficiency in the operating room.

Candidates should have a formal surgical technology program, NBSTSA certification, and CPR. Experience or internship in surgical technology is preferred; robotic surgery competency may be required after assessment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a formal accredited Surgical Technology Program or military training required.
• Certification through the NBSTSA is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and RNs by performing routine, technical and related duties during surgical operations.
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure clean equipment for each procedure and between cases.
• Provide for tray inventory, instrument maintenance, supplies, and MD requests.
