01 The Valley Hospital in Paramus is hiring a nurse for patient care in a challenging procedural environment. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a valid NJ license. SIGN ON BONUS Position Summary: Provide patient care for patients of varying ages, families, and physicians in an environment that uses ionizing radiation for cardiac, neuro, and vascular procedures. Perform a variety of patient care tasks and procedures in accordance with licensure, certification, and regulatory requirements.
The position requires a full range of body motion; physically assisting patients, stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling. Work is classified as Very Heavy Work: exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, or in excess of 50 pounds frequently, or in excess of 20 pounds constantly. The NIOSH guidelines recommending no more than 51 pounds without assistance will be followed. Manual and finger dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, constant speaking and listening in English are required. The role demands effective oral and written communication, deductive and inductive reasoning, and the ability to handle stressful situations and changing patient needs. Cooperative work with multidisciplinary team members (MDs, Rehab, Respiratory, DI, Laboratory, etc.) and effective time‑management skills are essential.
