Job description

Position Summary

Sign on Bonus Available To provide for the needs of patients of varying ages, their families, and physicians. This role involves performing a variety of patient‑care tasks and procedures in accordance with licensure, certification, and regulatory requirements while working in an environment that utilizes ionizing radiation for cardiac, neuro, and vascular procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced, invasive catheter-based procedures under fluoroscopic guidance, including cardiac ablations, implantations of permanent pacemakers and implantable cardioverter‑defibrillators (ICDs), and structural heart procedures such as Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO) with Watchman and Amplatzer Amulet implants.
• Collaborate with a structured team that includes a scrub technician (RT), circulating RN or RT, and a registered nurse (RN) to ensure high-quality patient care and procedural efficiency.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring accurate recordings and patient positioning according to protocol.
• Provide basic ambulance education, Basic Arrhythmia Recognition (BAR) education, ACLS certification, and complete a 12‑month computer‑based learning program through Chart Health Academy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years formal radiologic technology training approved by the Council on Education of the American Medical Association.
• Successful completion of the Association's examination and/or formal training in Cardiovascular Technology.
• State of New Jersey X‑ray Technician certification required; ARRT certification preferred.
• CPR certification and unit‑based orientation period.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, risk factors, and ability to use critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with the ability to maintain composure while handling stressful situation.
• Physical dexterity to operate sensitive equipment and perform procedures on patients with acute, chronic, or complex disease processes.

Location and Shift

Valley Hospital – Paramus, New Jersey, United States. Day shift.

Compensation

Pay Range: $45.52 – $56.90 per hour.
