Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum of 2 years of prior X-ray or imaging experience.
• Active New Jersey Certified X-ray Technologist (NJCXT) license.
• National registry: ARRT (R).
• ARRT (VI) registry preferred.
• Active CPR-BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and positions for procedures, aligning with protocol and contrast administration.
• Operates imaging equipment safely to perform exams per protocol and validates orders.
• Assists radiologists during interventional procedures by scrubbing in and handling supplies.
• Sets up sterile fields, trays, and documents worksheets, orders, and lab results.
• Calibrates and maintains imaging tools; reports equipment issues to leadership.
• Monitors readings and ensures radiation safety for staff and patients.
• Documents exams in EMR, PACS, and follows troubleshooting protocols.
• Collaborates with the team in a fast-paced imaging department.
