What You Will Do

• Perform specialized radiography and fluoroscopic coverage of interventional and angiographic procedures under the direction of a physician.
• Explain the procedure to the patient and prepare them for the procedure.
• Obtain medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast materials as directed for administration.
• Circulate during the procedure and maintain patient comfort.
• Provide supplies necessary for diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures.
• Remove catheters/sheaths and apply direct pressure or clamp as appropriate.
• Provide necessary report information to the holding area or nursing unit as needed.
• Record and process hemodynamic reports, contrast media records, and charges promptly and accurately.
• Communicate equipment malfunctions to leadership or department engineer for repairs.

What You Need

• Associate’s degree from an approved school of Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Interventional Technology program; or an ARRT or RCIS graduate from a Cardiovascular Interventional Training program; or two years’ work experience in Interventional Radiology or a similar modality.
• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist through ARRT (R) or RCIS certification required.
• BLS Provider (CPR) certification required. ACLS preferred.
• Advanced certification required within one year of hire date (ARRT CV, CI, or VI).

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Requires standing and walking while wearing 10 to 15‑pound lead radiation protection aprons.
• Exposure to radiation, secretions, and blood.
• Confined working area.
• Normal vision, manual dexterity, and good eye‑and‑hand coordination necessary to operate equipment.
• Constant concentration required during procedures.

Compensation

• Pay Range: $40.30 – $60.45 per hour.
• Sign‑On Bonus: Up to $15,000.
