Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for the EP Lab in Indianapolis. The role involves performing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, assisting physicians with image-guided vascular interventions, and ensuring safe medication and radiation practices.

Requires an Associate degree in Radiology or radiography certification, ARRT (R) certification, and Indiana licensure. Four 10-hour shifts Mon-Fri with on-call Saturdays may apply; on-site work in IN.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Radiology or completion of a radiography certification program.
  • Must hold ARRT (R) certification and Indiana Radiologic Technologist license.
  • Strong ability to prepare patients/equipment for cardiac lab procedures.
  • Able to ensure high-quality x-ray images and maintain equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures as directed by licensed practitioners.
  • Assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures.
  • Prepare, document, and administer medications and manage radiation exposure per policy.

Make a Difference

The interventional radiography technologist performs radiographic, fluoroscopic and other procedures at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. They also assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures; as well as prepare, administer and document activities related to medications and radiation exposure in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations and institutional policy.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
  • Prepares patient and equipment for cardiac lab procedures
  • Is responsible for preparing and ensuring that all x-ray images are of good quality and x-ray related equipment for procedures are maintained.
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
  • Effectively communicates with members of the care team to deliver high quality, patient centered care.
  • Education: Associates Degree in Radiology or Completion of certification program in Radiography
  • License: Required: Current ARRT (R) and current license as a Radiologic Technologist by the State of Indiana
