We are seeking an IR Technologist I to perform or assist with cardiac, neuro, body, and vascular-interventional procedures in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Preparing patients, obtaining correct orders, and ensuring proper identification and confidentiality.
- Utilizing imaging protocols, optimizing technical factors, and applying ALARA principles for patient safety.
- Administering medications and maintaining vascular access as prescribed.
- Evaluating images for quality, verifying data transfer, and assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Monitoring patients physiologically, operating and maintaining imaging and monitoring equipment, and initiating ACLS protocols when necessary.
- Practicing sterile techniques, recording hemodynamic data, and performing manual hemostasis post-procedure.
- Educating healthcare providers and students, ensuring quality control, and maintaining intra-arterial access.
Qualifications Include
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) is required; advanced certifications within two years of hire.
- Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program.
- For cardiology roles, certification by ARRT or graduation from a cardiovascular training program, with additional certifications like RCES or RCIS within two years.
- ACLS certification within six months of hire, PALS certification for certain locations.
