Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center – East Hospital in Columbus is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform invasive imaging in the Cath Lab and provide patient education under the Cath Lab Manager. Four 9-hour days (36 hours/week) with a 15K sign-on bonus.

Minimum qualifications include ARRT Radiography registration with current ODH licensure; candidates pursuing an advanced IR/vascular registry are encouraged.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiography registered with current ODH licensure.
• Work towards completion of an advanced registry in Angiography/IR/Vascular.
• Previous interventional radiology experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs invasive angiographic/cardiovascular/interventional imaging procedures.

Position Summary

The Interventional Radiological Technologist performs invasive angiographic/cardiovascular/interventional imaging procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury. In addition, the position provides patient education and performs quality assessment activities for the division, under the direction of the Cath Lab Manager.

Scope of Position

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient’s involvement in his/her own plan of care and reducing the length of hospitalization. The IR technologist plays a critical role in staff engagement , the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost effective care.

• Training Requirements: 1 week orienation/training
• Shift Availability: Four 9-hour days (36 hours/week), flexible
• Weekend Coverage: No weekends or holidays required, except for assigned call coverage. Call responsibilities include one weekday per week and every fourth weekend

Minimum Qualifications

For Hire: A.R.R.T. Radiography registered with current ODH licensure. Individual must have work towards completion of an advanced registry in Angiography/IR/Vascular. Previous interventional radiology experience is preferred
