Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking an Interventional Radiological Technologist to perform invasive imaging procedures and educate patients in the Cath Lab. The role supports quality and safety initiatives and reports to the Cath Lab Manager, with a daily schedule of 36 hours across four 9-hour shifts.

Experience in IR/Radiology and ongoing registry progression are preferred. Training includes a 1-week orientation, and weekend coverage is limited to assigned call responsibilities, including one

Qualifications

• A.R.R.T. Radiography registration and current ODH licensure.
• Work toward completion of an advanced registry in Angiography/IR/Vascular.
• Previous interventional radiology experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform invasive angiographic/cardiovascular/interventional imaging procedures for diagnosis.
• Provide patient education and support during procedures.
• Conduct quality assessment activities for the division under the Cath Lab Manager.

**Position Summary**The Interventional Radiological Technologist performs invasive angiographic/cardiovascular/interventional imaging procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury. In addition, the position provides patient education and performs quality assessment activities for the division, under the direction of the Cath Lab Manager.**Scope of Position:** The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient’s involvement in his/her own plan of care and reducing the length of hospitalization. The IR technologist plays a critical role in staff engagement , the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost effective care. * **Training Requirements:** 1 week orienation/training* **Shift Availability:** Four 9-hour days (36 hours/week), flexible* **Weekend Coverage:** No weekends or holidays required, except for assigned call coverage. Call responsibilities include one weekday per week and every fourth weekend **Minimum Qualifications****For Hire:** A.R.R.T. Radiography registered with current ODH licensure.
