Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join the Cardiac Catheter Lab. You will prepare patients, assist physicians during complex cardiac, vascular, and neurointerventional procedures, and support safe, efficient procedural workflows in a high‑acuity environment.

The role requires graduation from an approved School of Radiologic Technology, NJ license, ARRT registration, and BLS; ACLS and a on‑call commitment with 30‑minute response time preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Licensed by the State of New Jersey.
• ARRT registration required (ARRT).
• BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider course completion required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Dysrhythmia course preferred.
• Successful completion of all orientation programs required.
• On-call component with 30‑minute response time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for interventional procedures of cardiac, vascular, neurological and device-related interventions.
• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, PCI, peripheral angiograms and interventions, pacemaker procedures, and neurovascular procedures.
• Apply radiologic technology knowledge to support the procedural team.
• Maintain a safe, organized procedural environment following hospital policies and safety protocols.
• Monitor and communicate patient status during procedures to team members.
• Support efficient workflows by ensuring equipment and areas are ready.
