Join Portsmouth Regional Hospital as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, assisting physicians with minimally invasive procedures and providing diagnostic aid using fluoroscopic equipment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment, monitor inventory, maintain cleanliness of procedure room and work area.
- Render patient care professionally, explain all procedures, perform physical assessment (IVs, catheters, tubing, etc.).
- Assist the radiologist in administering medications and contrast agents intravenously.
- Maintain sterile technique during Interventional Radiology procedures.
- Real‑time review of scans for technical accuracy (technical quality, correct anatomical positioning, annotation, etc.).
- Complete verification process in PACS in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Registered Radiologic Technologist with ARRT.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Ability to perform Interventional Procedures.
- Two years of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
