Job summary

Central Peninsula Hospital, Inc. in Soldotna, Alaska, seeks an Interventional Radiology Technologist to support diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will prepare rooms, scrub surgically, operate fluoroscopy equipment, and document patient care before, during, and after procedures.

This role primarily supports Interventional Radiology with potential Cardiac Catheterization coverage, applying clinical knowledge and strict protocols to ensure patient safety and imaging quality.

Qualifications

• Two years imaging - radiography experience required.
• BLSP (CPR) and ACLS certifications within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms and assist interventional radiology procedures.
• Provide sterile scrub support and operate fluoroscopic imaging equipment.
• Document procedures and patient care before, during, and after execution.
• Support Cardiac Catheterization coverage as needed.

Education

Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology

Graduate of allied health program (cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, or radiologic technology)

Job description

• Critical Bonus Amount: $10,000 for a one- year commitment or $25,000 for a two- year commitment

POSITION SUMMARY

Under general supervision, the Interventional Radiology Technologist provides technical support and assistance to the interventional radiologist during diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures. Responsibilities include room preparation, sterile scrub assistance, operation of fluoroscopic and ancillary imaging equipment, documentation, and patient care before, during, and after procedures.

This position primarily supports Interventional Radiology, with collaborative coverage for Cardiac Catheterization as needed. The technologist uses clinical knowledge, strong procedural skills, and professional judgment in accordance with departmental protocols and scope of practice.

REQUIREMENTS

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology OR
• Graduate of a diploma, associate or baccalaureate academic program in an allied health field (includes, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, or radiologic technology)
• Minimum of two years of Imaging - Radiography experience
• BLSP (CPR) & ACLS from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment
