LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking an Interventional Technologist to perform or assist in cardiac, neuro, body, and vascular-interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal imaging quality. The role includes preparing patients, administering medications, and documenting radiation exposure in compliance with laws and policies.
You will obtain orders, prepare patients, follow imaging protocols, evaluate image quality, and support data transfer.
Role Overview: Interventional Technologists perform or assist in cardiac, neuro, body, and vascular-interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal imaging quality. They prepare, administer medications, and document activities related to radiation exposure in compliance with laws and policies.
Key Responsibilities: Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, utilize appropriate imaging protocols, evaluate image quality, and verify data transfer. They assist in diagnostic, fluoroscopic, and interventional procedures, maintain intra-arterial access, monitor physiological data, and operate quality control devices. They also educate healthcare providers, practice sterile techniques, and participate in quality improvement activities.
Qualifications & Skills: Certification by ARRT (ARRT-R, with advanced ARRT-VI, CI, or CV) for radiology; or graduate from accredited cardiovascular technology programs with ARRT and advanced certifications like RCIS. ACLS (and PALS if applicable) certifications are required. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in technical and patient care duties, with a commitment to safety, excellence, and continuous learning.
