Shift Timings: 06:45 - 15:15 Hours, Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week.

Position: Interventional Radiology Technician

Location: Chicago, IL, United States, 60631

Contract Type: 1 Onsite Contractor

Weekly Hours: 40

On-call: 15 days per month, work week Monday through Friday, 8 hours or as per case load. Shift starts at 0645. EPIC experience required.

Experience: 2 Years

Responsibilities

• Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations.
• Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images.
• Positioning patients and equipment, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort.
• Entering commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences; monitoring video display to adjust density or contrast.
• Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring safety, and following procedures to minimize radiation exposure.
• Producing diagnostic images, reporting key information to physicians, and updating patient records.
• Organizing daily procedure schedules, managing emergencies, and monitoring radiographic supplies.
• Performing administrative tasks such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice.
• Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.
