Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional studies, including angiography and biopsies, while adhering to established imaging protocols and radiation safety standards.

The role requires ARRT registration, graduation from an AMA/JRCERT accredited program, and BLS certification, with ARRT VI or CI certification preferred. Experience is welcome but not required; expect diverse patient care across age groups.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R).
• BLS Certified
• Advance Certification by ARRT in VI or CI preferred.
• No minimum experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures including angiography, venography, myelography, nephro-ureteral, and gastrointestinal studies, and modality assisted drainage and biopsies.
• Completes all post processing functions. Performs related record keeping and patient care functions.
• Ensures the utilization of established protocols and techniques differentiating for adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population in the performance of diagnostic procedures and functions.
• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing interventional radiology procedures on patients of all age groups.
• Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies for all related components.
• Adheres to imaging protocols and radiation safety policies.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
• Must be competent to position, select correct protocol and utilize imaging equipment on patients of all age groups for radiological exams.
