Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. in Las Cruces, NM seeks a Rad Tech Special Procedures (IR) to perform advanced interventional imaging under physician oversight. You will handle sterile technique, operate specialized radiographic equipment, and support complex procedures while ensuring patient safety and image quality.

Required ARRT certification and state license; BCLS within 30 days of hire. This full-time role offers a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
• 2–4 years of experience in special procedures or interventional radiology preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs special procedures and interventional imaging exams using fluoroscopy, CT, or other modalities per physician orders and safety standards.
• Verifies informed consent, prepares patients, and explains steps to promote understanding.
• Maintains sterile technique during interventional procedures and handles catheters or instruments.
• Assists physicians during procedures and supports equipment use and workflow.
• Follows conscious sedation protocols including monitoring and recovery support.
• Maintains image documentation and PACS archiving; communicates findings to radiologists.
