Job summary
Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an Interventional Radiologic Technologist to support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with radiology imaging. You will work closely with radiologists, physicians and nurses to ensure exceptional patient care and adhere to safety protocols.
Minimum NM Radiography Tech license (NMRRT) and BLS are required, with ARRT certification to be completed within 1 year after graduation or exemption for some cases; IR experience is
Qualifications
- NM Radiography Tech license (NMRRT) required.
- BLS certification required at the time of hire.
- ARRT certification must be obtained within 1 year after graduation or exempt if hired before 1984.
- One year of Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assists Radiologist/RPA with preparing, performing, and processing Interventional exams.
- Ensures correct supplies are available before the start of the exam.
- Applies safe practices for injectors, sterile setup, room entry/exit, and radiation protection.
- Monitors and documents contrast and radiation dosimetry.
- Ensures room is left procedure ready for next exam.
- Coordinates documentation per hospital guidelines.
