Job summary

Physicians Regional Healthcare System seeks an IR Technologist to perform advanced diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures under physician direction. The role supports complex procedures, maintains high-quality imaging, and adheres to radiation safety and sterile technique.

In addition to clinical duties, the role involves leadership support such as staff education, workflow coordination, and regulatory compliance in the special procedures area.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state.
• BCLS within 30 days of hire; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs interventional and special procedures using fluoroscopy, radiography and other imaging modalities.
• Verifies informed consent, prepares patients and provides post-procedure instructions.
• Maintains imaging equipment and ensures regulatory inspections are completed timely.
• Supports scheduling, workflow coordination and staff training as directed by leadership.
