Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking an Imaging Services Technologist to perform multiple imaging modalities including fluoro and X-ray across ER, surgical, inpatient, and outpatient settings in New Jersey. The role emphasizes patient communication (AIDET), exam accuracy, safety adherence, and collaboration with engineering staff.

The ideal candidate has an AMA-approved radiologic technology background, up-to-date certifications, and up to 3 years of imaging experience.

Qualifications

• AMA-approved radiologic technology program diploma or AS degree required.
• 6 months to 1 year in the interventional field is required.
• 0–3 years of experience as an Imaging Services Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses AIDET when communicating with patients to identify service requirements and ensure correct exam.
• Instructs patients and/or families regarding tests and assesses tolerance for exam.
• Prepares patient or area for IR procedures by proper positioning and equipment setup.
• Follows safety, infection-control, drug and radiation policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment operation.
• Maintains imaging records according to department policies for timely interpretation.
• Supports leadership in maintaining policies and records for regulatory and accrediting bodies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
