Job summary

Atlantic Health seeks an Imaging professional to perform diagnostic imaging using fluoroscopy and X-ray across emergency, surgical, inpatient, and outpatient settings. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and accurate exam selection.

You will communicate with patients using AIDET, position patients, ensure safe exposure, and support operation of imaging equipment while maintaining proper records and complying with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes AIDET when communicating with patients to identify service requirements, ensure correct exam, and establish rapport.
• Instructs patients/families regarding the test and assesses ability to tolerate the exam.
• Prepares patient/area for IR procedures by positioning and adjusting equipment and exposure factors.
• Adheres to safety, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies and protocols.
• Collaborates with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment operation.
• Maintains imaging records per department policies for timely interpretation.
• Supports leadership in maintaining policies and records for OSHA, TJC, TDH and ACR compliance.
• Performs other relevant duties as assigned.
