Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Garden Grove, CA is seeking a Per Diem Interventional Radiology Technologist to support the surgical center's procedures. You will assist physicians, prepare rooms, manage supplies, and operate radiology equipment, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety.

The role requires ARRT certification, 4-6 years of related experience preferred, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The center operates Monday through Saturday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm; travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree desirable; Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
• Current ARRT Certification and/or State Licensure (as per state regulations).
• Interventional Radiology certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preparation of patient and procedure room for radiology procedures in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Reviews orders to determine materials and supplies needed.
• Sets up stocks and tranches of procedure room and cleans room post procedure.
• Explains procedures to patients and addresses questions.
• Assists with patient prep for surgical procedures by positioning, shaving and prepping.
• Transfers patients to and from the procedure room and inputs data into the C-Arm.
• Acts as scrub assistant to assist physician during procedures and maintains sterile technique.
• Complies with HIPAA policies and keeps patient confidentiality.
• Draws and labels intravenous medications per policy.
• Processes x-ray images and archives to the image repository per policy.
