Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an IR Tech for Round Rock Medical Center to perform interventional radiology procedures under a radiologist's supervision. The role involves patient interaction, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring proper documentation and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R Radiography certification or equivalent is required.
• Cardiac Interventional (CI), Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) or Interventional Radiography (VI) ARRT certifications within two years of hire are acceptable.
• Ability to perform interventional radiology procedures under radiologist supervision.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality IR procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner.
• Uses AIDET when communicating with patients to identify service needs and explain tests.
• Prepares patient and area for procedures and positions patient accordingly.
• Maintains safety, infection-control, and sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Maintains equipment and work area, reports issues, and assists with supplies inventory.
• Screens people entering the department to ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Obtains, verifies, and maintains all relevant documentation and patient history.
